Wow, this house has a closet and a door and white walls. This photo wastes a busy viewers' precious time. It's not even showing a walk-in closet or handcrafted door. In fact, this photo is so boring, it actually draws attention to the horrid drop ceiling. Why use it?

In the example below, this photo shows a dark room with windows, a closet, and crooked closet doors. Don't use photos of empty rooms. They are cold and unappealing; they emphasize the ceiling treatment (popcorn anyone?) and the flooring (which better be new or at least really clean).

Mostly, these kinds of photos tell viewers (rightly or wrongly) that the houses have been sitting on the market too long. Either stage the room or ditch the photo.
